Special No31 Oude Genever Cask Strength - American Oak 5YO

This genever combines the specific qualities of three different grains.

The grain eau de vie (malt wine) is distilled from equal parts Rye, Corn and Malted Barley. The malted barley provides the backbone of the drink. The corn gives it a rich sweetness and the rye characterizes the spicy notes. The new distillate is distilled three times in a small pot still. Then the distillate is partially distilled a fourth time with carefully selected herbs such as juniper, licorice root and anise seed. Finally, the malt wine is combined with the other ingredients for aging in small wooden barrels.
